Snackie Cakes Review: Fat Boy Edition
Welcome to the first piece by…The Davis Bros. My brother and I took the time to explore the wonderful world of snack cakes…Fat Boy style. To up the hype, we used a fantasy sports draft format. The scores assigned to the snack cakes were done so by using The Official Davis Bros. Snack Cake Rating System. Finally, we'll give our likes and dislikes of each snack cakes with an in-depth review. So sit back on your porch rockers and enjoy yourselves while beginning your journey through the first of many TDB articles.
On the Way to the Store

The Snack Cake Draft

The snack cake draft: TFJ (The Fat Jesus) and 5E(Fivie), just like in fantasy drafts, we picked which SC(snack cakes) we thought were best first. The following rounds consisted of “less than perfect” picks. After our three “draft” picks, we each selected a “lottery” pick. The lottery pick was chosen due to us being dumb and thinking three SC each was enough. Simply put, this wouldn't be a true Fat Boy review if these picks were left out of the competition.

THE DRAFT

Round One:
5E: Fudge Rounds
TFJ: Star Crunch

Round Two:
5E: Oatmeal Cream Pies
TFJ: Zebra Cakes

Round Three:
5E : Chocolate Chip
TFJ : Swiss Cake Rolls
Lottery Picks:
5E: Banana Twins
TFJ: Cosmic Brownies
Pick one!!
Which one do I pick first?

THE RATING SYSTEM

We used a rating scale in which TDB could really relate to and actually use in real life. The SC were each thoroughly tasted and examined, if not completely disassembled, to completely enjoy every aspect of what each one has to offer. The system used was a number scale ranging from 1-4 thumbs up. One thumb up representing a lack of interest, but we'll still eat it if we're guests in someone's home and that's all they have to offer. Two thumbs up, we'll willingly choose over a small list of food items, or “one-fisting it.” Three thumbs up, we'll ecstatically choose over most food items and will share ONLY if asked nicely/call dibs shortly after the box being opened, or “double-fisting it.” Four thumbs up, you're screwed. If these SC come within our line of sight at any given time, we will do anything and everything to devour them. After coming up for air, we will politely ask, “Oh, did you want some?!” and only asking to just be polite……most of the time.
